Welcome to our Tiny Forest
The Coetir Bach was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund Coetiroedd Bach programme to create a mosiac of woodland across Wales that will form part of the National Forest.
The planting location is situated at the bottom of sloped playing fields within the school and is adjacent to an existing orchard space that’s been created by the school. The current ground cover consists of grass which is on a relaxed mowing schedule with mown pathways to encourage children to interact with the natural space. The new tiny forest will add to this more natural playground space for children to use, as well as be an additional space for teachers to use in outdoor learning.
The Coetir Bach Greenway Primary School Tiny Forest was planted by the children at the school over three days in October 2024
