Tile Survey (Development)

Tile Location

Walk around your Tiny Forest and look for square paving tiles. There are normally six – three near the edge and three in the middle of the forest. Use the map below to help you find them (previous sightings are marked in red). If you can’t find a tile look in between the grass and mulch or a bit further away – sometimes they’re hidden! You can use a stick to poke the floor as you walk

Once you’ve found a tile add its position by clicking on the map (you should see a yellow dot appear). Dont worry if its position doesnt match any of the other spots, this will help future surveyors find this tile.

Tile Sightings - Click on the map to add your own tile sighting location. (Yellow marker)

Switch to the false flags option if you would like to mark a previous sighting as invalid (sometimes tiles might have moved). With this option checked, clicking on the map will add a black marker to a position. Place these markers on previous sightings that you are sure no longer contain a tile.

Click or tap the + or - buttons to estimate the total individuals per group. If you don't see any ground dwellers that is fine, please still submit the survey. For the ant species group, please estimate the total individuals in multiples of ten. If you see a lot of small white rice shaped pellets in an ant’s nest, these are ant larvae - do not include these in the ant or larvae counts you submit.

Please check the data you have entered and then press submit.
