Welcome to our Tiny Forest
More than 150 people came together to plant trees and spend time with their neighbours at Buckhurst Field’s Tiny Forest planting day. Volunteers ranged from local residents to South Swindon Parish Councillors and MP for South Swindon Robert Buckland, as well as a local Swindon Scouts group and members of the Nepalese Association of Wiltshire. It was a diverse mix of people braving the cold and wind to plant 600 trees throughout the day. The project was co-sponsored by Vaillant and Nationwide, with the close support of South Swindon Parish Council. As well as participating in the planting of the Tiny Forest, which is being delivered in collaboration with South Swindon Parish Council, residents have also been involved in the selection of the site and its design.
