Welcome to our Tiny Forest
This Tiny Forest was planted at 50 Fraser Street, Glen Waverly on the 14th and 15th of May 2024. The Fraser Street Reserve Tiny Forest was made possible thanks to a collaboration between Earthwatch and Monash City Council, in partnership with Bupa. Bupa executive staff joined local community members, children from Mt View Primary school and Council representatives to support the Tiny Forest program and plant Victoria's first Tiny Forest. The planting day was also attended by Uncle Mark and Uncle Josh from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, the Deputy Mayor of Monash City Council, Councillor Brian Little, Bupa’s Chief Corporate Affairs Sustainability Officer, Roger Sharp and Earthwatch's CEO, Fiona Sutton Wilson. The Fraser Street Reserve Tiny Forest is planted with species from the threatened ecological vegetation communities, Valley Heathy Forest and Grassy Woodland that will provide habitat for biodiversity, reduce urban heat island effect and help to mitigate the effects of climate change.
